Submitting content grants Duolingo lasting rights to use it

Submitting content gives Duolingo a perpetual, irrevocable worldwide license to use, adapt, distribute, display, and sublicense it.

This applies if you submit content such as ratings, reviews, text, photographs, audio, or translations.

The terms assign Duolingo ownership of learning materials

The terms say Duolingo owns materials generated through educational activities, including translations you create, and limit your use of them.

This applies to materials generated through your access to and use of educational activities.

Duolingo may end your access at any time, for any reason

The terms reserve Duolingo’s right to terminate your access immediately at any time and for any reason, after which you have no further right to use the Service.

The terms require most monetary disputes to be arbitrated individually
